For the boyfriend hitting the big 4-0 who insists he’s only improving with age: ‘In whisky years, you just got really expensive.’ The hand-lettered line sits beside a squat decanter with a gold screw cap and a cut-crystal tumbler poured ready, brush strokes and little flicks scattered around. A cheeky main present or stocking-filler sized extra for his milestone birthday, from a girlfriend who knows he’ll laugh, then agree.
