For the piano teacher who’s sat through every wobbly scale and last-minute exam panic: ‘Just a little note to say thank you’ does the pun properly, since notes are rather their department. Hand it over at the end of term, after a graded exam result, or as a Christmas thank-you from a pupil and their parents. A small, warm way to say the weekly half hour mattered.
