For the drummer who sets the pace and dares the rest of the band to argue: the label declares ‘The tempo is whatever I say it is’, which is exactly what every guitarist has been told mid rehearsal. A birthday or Christmas gift for the one behind the kit, a thank you for the drum teacher, or a nod to the bandmate who counts everyone in whether they’re ready or not.
