Half sympathy, half gloating: ‘the bad news is you’re 50, the good news is I’m not’, set plainly with a single red balloon. A 50th birthday present from the younger sibling, the friend with a later birthday, or anyone who has been waiting years to say it out loud. It will get read aloud at the party.
