‘Happy 30th Birthday Son’ in colourful hand-lettering, with a red balloon and confetti scattered around it. Thirty is the birthday that catches parents out, so this is the one to hand over at the family meal before he heads off to celebrate properly with his friends. Warm, not mocking, which is usually what a son actually wants from mum and dad.
